Abstract submission guidelines

For the abstract, please only use the provided template (Word template) and convert into a PDF when completed.

  • Authors will be notified of the abstract acceptance/rejection of their abstract no later than May 10, 2021.
  • All abstracts must be submitted and presented in publication quality English.
  • Each abstract should be a maximum of 250 words.
    • Use the editable template by clicking on the section you would like to fill in and start your typing or overwriting. Please do not remove the format outlined in the template; abstracts that are different from the format will be returned to authors for revision. Be sure to underline the presenting author.
  • Oral: Oral presentations will be 12 minutes with 3 minutes for questions. Spaces are limited. Those who are not successful in securing an oral presentation may be offered to present their abstract in a poster format.
  • Poster:  There will be no presentations of posters, but there will be dedicated poster sessions during which presenting authors are expected to survey for questions on the interactive chat of their poster.
  • Only 2 abstracts may be submitted as a presenting author. The presenting (underlined) author must have registered for the meeting no later than May 14, 2021.
  • Every abstract is subject to assessment by the scientific committee prior to acceptance. If the number of submitted abstracts for oral presentation exceeds the number of available time slots, the Scientific Committee may request some presentations to be formatted for a poster presentation.
  • All oral presentations will have to be recorded and submitted by June 28, 2021. Virtual Conference Presentation Guidelines will be published on the BL2021 website shortly and sent to presenters upon acceptance.
